The Lord will Keep You!

The Lord will Keep You..He will protect you and He will guide you as He directs you through the paths He takes you on. It has been too long since I posted an update, But God, He has been doing so much through the ministry here in Zambia and we are forever grateful for His faithfulness on this journey.

For the Word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. (Psalm 33:4) He is always faithful in His promises. Things have been super busy with Blessings every step of the way since our last update.

Since our last post we have continued with our weekly meetings. We have now incorporated a second location. The children continue to come to the meetings to fellowship together, worship the Lord together, listen to the Word of the Lord together, and continue to share memory verses and learn how to share the Gospel. The children have been getting so excited for the meetings that they will occasionally show up to my house early before the meeting to assist with our preparations for the meetings and to help carry the supplies so that we can get to the meetings early.  These meetings have been such a Blessing to not just the children and the ministry team, but to the surrounding people. People from the market will come join us to hear the lesson and to join in Worshiping the Lord.

Our weekly Bible Study continues. We are continuing to learn how to conquer fear. Share prayer points for the upcoming week and Dominic continues to play friendly games at the end of the meetings.

We continue to press in with regards to the school ministry and we are starting to plan for dates to reach other areas of the Chiefdom.

Highlights of the past few months!

JULY

In July we were able to have some permanent solar installed in the house as we await the electricity to be installed in our area of the village. Let there be Light!!

The children’s meetings continued to build momentum.

I had an opportunity to teach at our Church in Chipepo and share on the importance of The Great Commission!

We had to go to Livingstone for some paperwork to be filed. Here we got to see some old friends, visit with Chief Chipepo, and we were honored to be invited to attend Chief Mukuni’s Annual Ceremony.

We also managed to take a day or two off and visited Victoria Falls and got to play with some baby lions, and we ran into a few elephants on the road.

AUGUST

In August we started preparing for Amanda’s arrival from the US. The children’s meetings continued to grow and proposals were starting to be written for an upcoming project in the village. Dominic started Grade 8 with much enthusiasm (I cannot believe he will be in High School next year). Our little garden started producing and we were able to pick our own vegetables.

We started searching the different areas for a second location for our 2nd weekly meeting. Preparations were put in place as we prepared for a busy September. (CfaN & Nations Church Family are coming to Zambia!!)

SEPTEMBER

What a month God had in store for us. New friendships were developed, more connections and relationships with the Bishops and Pastors throughout Zambia.

Amanda arrived from the US on the same flight as some of our Nations Family.

We got to join the CfaN Invasion team in preparation for the Zambia Decapolis! In the first days of the month God planted the vision of a project for the ministry to work on (more to come on this soon!) We are super excited and cannot wait until we can share the details with you all. Amanda arrived after many airline struggles and delays.

Quickly after Amanda landed we needed to return to Chipepo to prepare for Chief Chipepo’s Annual Ceremony. Having the opportunity to attend this ceremony had given me the opportunity to meet the Chief’s Counsel to our other Chiefdom under Chief Chipepo and better understand both Chiefdoms. With the ceremony we got to enjoy the traditional music and dancing and hear the hearts of the government officials and the fellow Chiefs of Zambia.

After the ceremony we quickly returned to Lusaka to start the Gospel Invasion in Lusaka. What a great team we got to be part of. Our team consisted of Five Evangelists from Four Different Countries, Coordinators and Directors from Four Different Countries and countless volunteers from Lusaka. The team came together and we were able to hit the streets of Lusaka and claim them for Jesus.

The One on One Evangelism days were so much fun. I got to break off and minister to the children as Evangelist Gabriel ministered to the adults. The children were so eager to hear the Gospel and learn. The whole team came together to do Market Outreaches. Here we sang, danced and shared the Gospel with thousands over several days. We prayed for the sick and watched as Jesus performed His miracles. We were also able to attend the CfaN Evangelism training and Field Dedication in preparation for the Crusade.

The day we were joining the Gospel Trucks, as we arrived at our first stop my phone rang. Chief Chipepo’s Graduation was about to start. Dominic and I had to excuse ourselves from the Gospel Truck, but Amanda got to remain to support the CfaN team. It was an honor to be able to be at Chief Chipepo’s graduation to support him. To see the smile on his face during the celebration was enough to melt your heart. Chief Chipepo had worked hard to run his Chiefdoms, continually share the Gospel with his fellow Chiefs and complete Bible College. Not only did he graduate from Bible College he was also ordained that day. He is the first Chief to be ordained as an Apostle!. He is officially now known as His Royal Highness Apostle Chief Chipepo.

The 5 nights of the Crusades had such an impact on so many. It was also so nice to have so many of our Nations Family in Zambia including our Sr. Pastor Daniel Kolenda. Here we were able to be part of the prayer team, deliverance team, and the testimony teams. We were able to pray for members of the Vice President of Zambia’s team.

At the end of each night of the crusade we all came together as a team and sat together to count and go through all of the decision cards for the night.

Not only were the crusades happening here in Lusaka for 5 nights they were simultaneously going on in 4 other cities across Zambia.

In a span of 5 nights in 5 cities there were a total of 25 crusades. Through these 25 crusades we had 1.3 million attend and between the Gospel Invasions leading up to the crusades and during the crusades we had over 600,000 decisions for Christ. The testimonies and miracles that Jesus performed in each city will continue to impact the people across Zambia for a long time to come. God moved mightily across Zambia throughout September. What a Blessing that we were able to be part of this!

We were able to revisit the areas we were in prior to the crusade during the CfaN Gospel invasions a week after the crusades. To hear the testimonies from the people in those neighborhoods on the differences they have seen. The church attendance is increasing and the atmosphere in the areas are having a significant impact. The evangelists are continuing with school ministries and outreaches in the neighborhoods. It is a Blessing to be able to continue seeing the fruit from our time in Lusaka throughout September.

OCTOBER

We had one final quick visit to Lusaka to finalize some paperwork. Dominic and I got to visit the Lusaka Museum with some of the Pastors we connected with while working with the crusade. We were invited to a mid-week prayer meeting where friends of ours were leading worship and then got to be there as they were prayed over as they go forward doing ministry together.

It was so good to be back at our local weekly meetings with the children and having them start back up coming to the house to play football. And we got to celebrate Zambia’s Independence Day with the Children as we incorporated it with a Bible Lesson.

Our weekly Bible Study started back up and they were all excited to have a friendly game of uno-stacko.

We were invited to be a part of the Annual General Meeting for the Chipepo Chiefdom. Here we were able to meet with all of the Headmen for the Chipepo Chiefdom, the Chief’s Counsel and Heads of the departments and ministries within the Chiefdom. I had an opportunity to share who we are as a ministry and how things have been progressing here in Chipepo.

The children are becoming more interested in learning how to share the Gospel with others and they are becoming more ambitious to learn memory verses.

As we head towards the end of 2022 we continue to be expectant of what God is doing throughout ministry here in Zambia. We are so excited for the upcoming projects.

Dominic and I would like to invite you to be part of what God is doing here in Zambia. You can partner with us in prayer and financial support. Your prayers and financial support are just as important and have the same eternal impact as the work Dominic and I are doing here in Zambia. Please continue to pray and see how God leads you to join us as we reach the children of Zambia!
